Frinton Free Church is a vibrant, community-rooted church family and part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
We’re a multi-generational congregation with space for everyone—from older members who’ve journeyed with Jesus for decades, to families, youth, children and those exploring faith for the first time. At The Free, we celebrate God together and believe that a disciple of Jesus loves him with their head, heart and hands, and helps others to do the same.
We’d love to welcome you. Whether it’s your first time exploring church, or you’ve been part of a church family before, we want you to feel at home with us.

OUR CORE BELIEFS
We take our statement of faith from the Evangelical Alliance. This includes statements like:
1. The one true God who lives eternally in three persons — the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
2. The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.
OUR STORY
Founding of the Free
Frinton Free Church was founded in 1891 in a house called “Ingle Nouk” on Harold Road, Frinton-On-Sea. A group of “non-conformist” believers were brought together to worship under the leadership of a Mr Langham.
New Building
By 1896, the piece of land upon which the church now stands was
purchased, and the first buildings erected. In 1899 the church joined The Baptist Union of Great Britain, and by 1912 the present buildings were erected.
Our Current Church
Since this time, the members of Frinton Free Church have emulated that same pioneering spirit of their first members, planting a church, opening a coffee shop, a youth centre, sending many overseas to share the love of Jesus with others.
